Campers will explore choreography and songs based on award-winning and critically acclaimed Broadway musicals from the past and present such as Wicked, The Lion King, The Music Man, Annie, Aladdin, Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins. The music and dancing of Broadway is nothing short of amazing, while compelling stories also help to captivate audiences. This camp will dive into the magic of musical theater and help kids foster a love of this art form.
This camp will focus on group numbers from these shows, as well as scene work.
Kids may also spend time making props.
Please bring a snack, a large water bottle or two and a lunch.
A mini performance on Friday will allow kids to show their parents what they have been working on all week.
*If possible, it helps if the campers familiarize themselves with some of the soundtracks to these musicals ahead of time.
